Cupid's Blog Swap!

I was excited to get my swap gift today, from Alexis (otherwise known as MOM). There were lots of Valentines goodies! I will upload a picture as soon as I figure out how! This whole blog thing is slightly above my current technological knowledge level, but I'm learning! Thanks to Alexis for all the gifts, and I hope you enjoy yours as well!

Tootsie Rolls, Dangerous?

You know those Tootsie Roll Banks? The ones with a little slot you punch out so you can put money in after the Tootsie Rolls are all gone? Well, one of these wonderful inventions almost cost me the tip of my thumb yesterday. Yeah. How, you ask? Well, I was trying to punch the little slot thingie out, and as I did, my thumb somehow inserted itself into this 1/4 inch slit. I couldn't pull it back out, cuz the angle of it was cutting into my skin, and my thumb turned purple within about 20 seconds, and was rapidly fading to black. Somehow, despite the pain, I managed to insert the point of a pair of scissors into the tiny space not filled by my thumb and cut my way loose. Still, it was a very close call.

Ready for School to Start

Ok, so my second semester of school starts back tomorrow, thank goodness. As much as I love being at home, it gets boring when I'm by myself. For someone who doesn't like to watch TV and can only entertain herself on myspace and facebook for about 20 minutes, maximum, school can be a very interesting place. I actually really enjoy being in the classroom, and I love to learn. More than that, though, I love knowing that every class I take brings me that much closer to graduating!!!
